'Breaking Dawn' Trailer: Our Five Favorite Moments

MTV News breaks down the latest 'Twilight' trailer.By Kara Warner

Be still, our "Twilight"-obsessed hearts. Finally, a new trailer arrived online Tuesday (September 13), and it is a doozy. Picking up where the first one (which debuted during the MTV Movie Awards in June) left off, the sparkling, action-packed, two-minute-and-30-second teaser offers fresh glimpses of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1."
The fact that we enjoyed every second of this new trailer is a given, therefore we are breaking out our top five favorite moments:

Charlie Walks Bella Down the Aisle
Bella's dad has never seemed totally onboard with his daughter dating Edward Cullen, let alone marrying him. However, in this sweet moment that opens the trailer, we see a wonderful bond between Bella and Charlie, as well as the natural chemistry between actors Kristen Stewart and Billy Burke, as they prepare to walk down the aisle together. "Don't let me fall, Dad," Bella says. "Never," he answers.
Jacob and Bella's Dance
After three books and four films of fighting for her heart, Jacob Black has to succumb to serious heartbreak and officially say goodbye to Bella. This sweet and heartfelt moment is captured beautifully during a slow dance at Bella's wedding reception. "This is how I'll remember you," Jacob says to Bella, hinting at the fact that she's set her heart on becoming a vampire. "Pink cheeks, heartbeat — you think I'd be used to telling you goodbye by now."
The Honeymoon Aftermath
It's safe to say that fans have been more excited about seeing the honeymoon scene than any other — save for a glimpse at Bella's wedding dress, perhaps. In the new trailer, we revisit Edward's hands crushing the headboard, followed by a very pleased and peaceful Bella lying in bed, surrounded by feathers from torn pillows and possibly pieces of the headboard. Intense, heated and squeal-worthy, for sure.
Wolves vs. Vamps
It wouldn't be a "Twilight" movie without some sort of epic battle involved, and in "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," there is a grand showdown between wolves and vampires. The wolf pack, which Jacob has deserted, wants to prevent Bella's unborn half-human, half-vampire from being born. "Get ready, they're coming for Bella," Jacob says, anxiously. "They're not going to touch her," answers Edward. We then see a shot of a standoff, wolves surrounding the vampires, at which point Jacob addresses them, "If you kill her, you kill me," followed by quick cuts of Alice and Jasper Cullen fighting the wolves.
Edward Reacts to Bella In Labor
Throughout the final minute of the trailer, most of the emphasis is put on the tension surrounding Bella's pregnancy. Carlisle warns Bella: "The fetus isn't compatible with your body. It's too strong and fast growing. Your heart will give out before you can do anything" — which Bella doesn't want to hear, much like Edward's emotional outbursts that she has decided to give up her life for her unborn child, without considering his feelings. The last shot of the trailer is Edward's face, full of anguish and anxiety, with Bella screaming in pain in the background.
What was your favorite scene in the trailer? Let us know in the comments!

Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz 'Committed' To 'Dream House' Couple

Producer Ehren Kruger talks about the newlyweds' performance in the thriller, in our Fall Movie Preview.By Josh Horowitz

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz in "Dream House"

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz married in a quiet New York ceremony in June, an idyllic union that presents a stark contrast to their onscreen marriage in "Dream House."
A genre mash-up with thriller and horror elements directed by Jim Sheridan, the film begins with a familiar setup: Craig, Weisz and their daughters move to a new home, only to discover their quarters are nothing like what they expected. From there, though, "Dream House" takes a twist, one that makes viewers reconsider everything they've previously seen and which was revealed in a surprisingly spoiler-filled trailer this summer.
Click for photos from fall's biggest flicks!
But as producer Ehren Kruger told MTV News recently, that twist is just one in a flick filled with them. If you think you know everything "Dream House" has in store, he made clear that you're missing all the clues — just as Kruger and the rest of the cast and crew seemingly missed the signs on set that Craig and Weisz's heated on-camera coupling was the beginning of a trip down the aisle.

As part of our Fall Movie Preview, we not only have a chat with Kruger, but the first clip from the film, in which Weisz confesses that she's certain something is wrong with their new home and Craig promises to hire a priest or "feng shui the place." Hit play on the video above and then read on for Kruger's interview.
MTV: You've got some impressive talent in front of and behind the camera. How did all those pieces of the puzzle come together?
Ehren Kruger: It started with the original script by David Loucka, which blended genres in a very interesting way. That caught the eye of Jim Sheridan, and he's not a director who is known for doing straightforward genre pieces. So he responded to some of the deeper character ideas in the script, and once he became interested, we started developing the script with him and very quickly there were actors like Daniel and Rachel and Naomi [Watts] that were interested in being a part of it, because his reputation is so wonderful with performance. You don't always get that in genres that are perceived as just a mystery or just a scary movie or just a thriller, so getting involved in this allowed the actors to bring their A-game and challenge themselves performance-wise.
MTV: As you said, this is not the type of film that Jim Sheridan normally takes on. Why was he the right guy for the job?
Kruger: He's often dealing with families in an emotional crisis. He really responds to that sort of environment, so while this story has a lot of the scary genre trappings and mystery trappings, at its core it's really a family that's in intense crisis.
MTV: In terms of developing the script, what are the influences you drew on?
Kruger: It shares some genre DNA with movies like "The Others" or "The Sixth Sense" or "Rosemary's Baby" and movies that really try to cast a spell in terms of mood. In the world of scary thriller mysteries, there are the vampires and the zombies and the mask killers. They are very upfront with what is scary about them. And then there are the more traditional ghost-story antagonists, where their secrets can play something even more sinister. You don't quite know who is pulling the strings and what to be afraid of. We talked about some of those classic ghost-story influences like "The Haunting" or "The Innocence" or "The Shining," movies where you are dealing with something you initially think you can fight or combat but then aren't sure if you can at all.
MTV: Tell us about what Daniel brought to the table, how he approached the material and how he made the character his own.
Kruger: He's a very intense person, and it comes across in his roles and on the screen. This is a character who, on the outside, seems like an everyman, a family man, but you come to find out he has a number of demons of his own. Daniel was really able to dig into those and pull off a very intense portrayal of a man trying to protect his family in nearly an impossible situation. It's a very valiant performance from him. And the chemistry between him and Rachel, which is kind of the core of the film, is really great.
MTV: Was their relationship off camera apparent to you on the set?
Kruger: They are both very focused actors, so you just figured they were really committed to their performance of this married couple. There is method acting and I guess there is matrimonial method acting. But I wouldn't say it was apparent during shooting. They were playing the roles as professional, and it went from there.
MTV: You show a big twist in the trailer about the murders that took place in the house. How do you make the decision of how much to reveal and how early?
Kruger: It's always a trick with movies that start off seeming like one thing and then turn into something else. In the case of this movie, it turns into something else again. You just have to make the decision of what is the best way to tell the audience that they are going to be getting more than what they think they are getting. You could have a trailer that doesn't reveal any of the revelations that they will come to find out about — the house where he lives and the family — and then there's just not quite enough juicy material to sell the movie. You have to provide a little and assure the audience there's going to be more revelations.
MTV: When do you find out who the murderer is in the movie?
Kruger: It will be in the first half of the movie that you are getting the revelations that are in the trailer, so there is still half of the movie of mystery to tell.
From "Abduction" to "Muppets, "Moneyball" to "Breaking Dawn," the MTV Movies team is delving into the hottest upcoming flicks in our 2011 Fall Movie Preview. Check back daily for exclusive clips, photos and interviews with the films' biggest stars.

Miss USA Rima Fakih Reflects On 9/11, Muslim Identity

'I think our generation has grown,' the 25-year-old Arab-American tells MTV News of the decade since terrorist attacks.By Gil Kaufman, with reporting by Tami Katzoff

Rima Fakih

Photo: WireImage

On Sept. 11, 2001, Rima Fakih was a student at St. John's Prep High School in Astoria, Queens. She was in a social studies class when a student behind her said that the World Trade Center had been hit, and from the window of the school, she could see that he was right.

"All you could see was just some big black smoke," she said, noting that her teacher's husband worked in the buildings at the time and that the students had to bring their instructor water to try to calm her down.
It was a defining moment in the life of Fakih, a Lebanese immigrant who last year became the first Muslim and first Arab-American to win the Miss USA crown.
"It was kind of a nightmare, to be honest with you, because the principal came on the speakers and was saying, 'Attention, students: Please everyone report down to the basement. We need you all in shelters.' I just couldn't move because my older brother Rabih worked across the street from the World Trade Center, he worked with Goldman Sachs." In addition, her older sister worked in tower seven of the WTC and her father was on his way to work at the time.
When Fakih got home, her mother was on the ground in tears, barely able to breathe because the attacks evoked vivid memories of the 15-year Lebanese civil war that had forced the family to flee their homeland. "I was born in South Lebanon during the war and I remember vivid memories [of] hiding in shelters during the shelling," Fakih told MTV News. "At that moment, it felt just like that."
With her father stuck on the Queensboro Bridge and her mother unable to reach Fakih's siblings, the tension mounted during the day. Her father eventually made it to safety at an uncle's house, while, luckily, her newlywed brother, just back from his honeymoon, had taken a few extra days off at his new wife's request.
Unfortunately, nobody could reach her sister. "It was very terrifying. I remember my little brother was a baby and he was asking my mom to change the channel because he couldn't watch the scary movie anymore," she recalled.
The images of the planes hitting the buildings kept playing all day, with the building Fakih's sister worked in clearly visible in the footage. Finally, though, they got word that her sister had spent 12 hours in a shelter, wearing a gas mask, a scenario so haunting that she ended up in therapy for more than a year. "She saw people jumping out of the buildings ... on fire, from the top," Fakih said of her sister Rana. "She was in a meeting when the first plane hit and the windows shattered."
A veteran observer of the war in Lebanon, Rana counseled her co-workers to take shelter and stay away from the windows. Some, however, didn't take her advice and ended up dying that day. "I remember how hard it was for my family and I at the time to not only live around the atmosphere of New York City, but to receive a lot of stereotypes," Fakih said of her family, which owned a Middle Eastern restaurant on New York's Upper East Side for 20 years.
Bricks were thrown through the restaurant window and business tanked in the wake of the attacks as a result of the some of the post-9/11 anti-Muslim sentiment, with Fakih remembering how she was bullied at a her Catholic high school by some students who made rude comments. "Every time something would happen, I would be scared. I'd watch TV and ... [think], 'Please God don't let this be a terrorist act; don't let this be Arabs or Muslims."
The family moved to Dearborn, Michigan, in 2003, a city that boasts the highest concentration of Middle Eastern immigrants in the U.S., and they felt much more at ease. Rima began attending the University of Michigan, but unlike some of her Arab-American peers, she did not change her name in order to fit in and escape greater scrutiny. She held fast to her identity, even when some fellow Muslims warned her not to enter the Miss USA pageant because they believed she could never win.
Ten years later, though, she thinks things have gotten better.
"I think I'm a great example to that," she said. "Winning the crown of Miss USA, being the first Arab American, the first Muslim-American and possibly the first immigrant to win the title of Miss USA just testifies to the fact that there is freedom in this country and there is justice and there is freedom of religion and freedom of choice and this is what America is based on."
Fakih said the 9/11 attacks planted fear in a lot of people in her generation, including her. "I might be an Arab and a Muslim, and I might get on a train sometimes and see a man leave a bag and I just don't want to touch it, I want to get off at the next stop," she admitted. "Now, I think our generation has grown. My generation especially has seen so much fear and then so much change and growth in the [last] 10 years that it planted this fearlessness inside us and this ability to feel like we live in a country where you can do anything and we can overcome."
And when people asked whether she could win the Miss USA title, she'd say, "If Barack Hussein Obama is in office, then Rima Hussein Fakih can win Miss USA."
As part of the "I Will" campaign to commemorate the 9/11 attacks as a national day of service and remembrance, we asked Fakih how she'll mark the anniversary on Sunday. "On September 11, I will call to check on my sister and my older brother, who worked at the World Trade Center, to make sure that they still love and trust this county as much as everyone else."
What will you do to remember 9/11? Share your thoughts below, and visit 911day.org to upload your video response.

'Man Of Steel' Star Michael Shannon Plans To 'Reinvent' Zod

'There's nothing holding me back,' actor says of his version of Superman's nemesis.By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Michael Shannon

Photo: MTV News

"Man of Steel" star Michael Shannon has moved from absurdity to anxiety.

When the Oscar-nominated actor was cast as General Zod back in April, he confessed he found the entire thing "ridiculous." Now that he's on set and in character, Shannon has moved on but is not exactly feeling comfortable yet.
"I'm nervous," he told MTV News while promoting his upcoming drama, "Take Shelter." "I'm still getting my foot into the pool. I just started working on it."
The work he's focusing on is taking a villain familiar from Christopher Reeve's first two "Superman" films and reimagining him for a new millennium (and, in Henry Cavill, a new Man of Steel).
"I'm not going to impersonate Terence Stamp. I'm not going to have a British accent or anything," he said, referring to the esteemed actor who played the Kryptonian baddie in the original films. "All I can say is it's very well written and there's a lot of great opportunities to reinvent it for myself. The challenge is for me to do that. There's nothing holding me back. I think they're counting on me to give my interpretation. I'll do the best I can."
Early on, as photos from the "Man of Steel" set hit the Web, the clearest indication of a big-screen reinvention is Zod's costume. Like Cavill's Superman (who has seemingly ditched those familiar red undies), Shannon's take on the character appears to be diverging from the past, this time with the help of a motion-capture suit. When we asked Shannon about the suit, though, he put on every actor's stop-asking-me-questions-I-can't-answer best defense: jokes.
"Those are actually my street clothes," he said. "I don't know why they're taking those pictures. I wear those clothes to work in the morning. Once I'm in costume, I have a cloak of invisibility that I wear between takes."
Shannon took the same tactic when asked if he'd share any scenes with Russell Crowe, who's set to play Superman's biological father. "Russell Crowe's in the movie?" he asked with faux innocence. "Me and Russell, we have a scene where we have tea and talk about the old times. 'Remember when the people of Krypton used to ... ?' That kind of scene.
"Technically, I'm not supposed to say anything about 'Superman,' " he added. "I think when I get back to work they're going to have to give me the [mimes putting a gun to his head and pulling the trigger] to keep me from blabbing about it."
But it wasn't all jokes. In addition to announcing his intention to reinvent Zod, Shannon let us know what he finds to be the most interesting aspect of the character: "Being a general," he said. "To me, that's a fascinating, iconoclastic character. I can't imagine being a sergeant, let alone a general. He's in charge of the entire military of Krypton. That's going to take every little shred of imagination that I have. It's a good challenge because it's a big distance to have to go."

Chuckie Will Debut Michael Jackson Remix In Miami

Official 'Hollywood Tonight' remix coming to Miami Music Week.By Akshay Bhansali

Chuckie

Photo: Jason Ano/ One and Only Productions

Leaving the South by Southwest festival, Lavo New York and Las Vegas' Marquee in his wake, house DJ Chuckie has his sights set on the week ahead. With Miami Music Week now upon us, Chuckie plans to seize the opportunity to debut new material. Fans will be tickled to know the Dutch producer has tracks in the can with Kelly Rowland and T-Pain, but when MTV News caught up with him Friday in New York, Chuckie shared the achievement of which he's most proud.

"I did a Michael Jackson remix, which was really scary — to touch Michael Jackson vocals," Chuckie said. "I did this remix for this track 'Hollywood Tonight.' I couldn't say it for a minute: The label called me, and they said, 'You can't say nothing about this. It's kind of a secret project.' It's gonna come out anytime now."
"Hollywood Tonight" was originally produced by Teddy Riley for Jackson's posthumous Michael album, and Chuckie's mix of the song will be the sole official remix of the track.
"I will play it Miami," Chuckie revealed. "I told them this is the best week to launch the remix. So it feels really good. I'm the only one remixing that Michael Jackson track, and they are considering it a single. For me, especially, it's an honor to remix the King of Pop because he died on my birthday."
So, will the mix be a thundering Chuckie Dutch house banger or will it have a melodic progressive house feel, like his Marquee remix of Diddy-Dirty Money's "I Hate That You Love Me"? Well, according to the "Let the Bass Kick" producer, fans will be getting a healthy dose of both.
"I had to bring in the raucous," Chuckie confessed. "Yeah, I did the Chuckie flavor, but then again, I wanted to make it really musical, so I went progressive (house) on it."
Chuckie will be performing twice at Miami Music Week: at the Cr2 Records Party at Wall Lounge on Wednesday, and then headlining "No Sugar Added" at Nikki Beach on Friday.
Are you excited to hear Chuckie's remix of Michael Jackson's "Hollywood Tonight"? Let us know in the comments below!

Jason Segel: I must say Walter is going to be a new favorite. You haven't gotten to know him that well yet, but he sort of represents the point of view of the audience. He's just a crazy Muppets fan, and he reminds me a lot of Kermit before Kermit became Kermit. He's wildly hopeful and believes in goodness and friendship, so I have a real affinity for Walter.
MTV : Who is Walter's favorite Muppet?
Segel: Kermit. He is a wild, wild, wild Kermit fan. He has Kermit on his watch. Walter grew up with me in the city of normal people. He's the only puppet where he grew up, so when he saw "The Muppet Show" for the first time, he sort of felt like, "Oh my gosh, there are other people out there like me."
MTV : You have a lot of celeb Muppet fans in the film. Who geeked out the most with the Muppets?
Segel: I must say, there is something intrinsic of anyone who grew up with the Muppets, they have a wild love for the Muppets that comes out as soon as they come to set. Almost everybody legitimately freaked out. I think the thing that was the coolest was seeing Academy Award winner Chris Cooper — he's not a cameo; he's our villain — but this guy is one of the best actors alive, and to see him talking to these Muppets, looking them straight in the eye and laughing, there's a puppeteer right next to the Muppet, operating the puppet, but he looks straight at the puppet, and to see that that even happens to someone like Chris Cooper, it reaffirmed everything that I was working for.
MTV : There's something about puppets ...
Segel: There is something else. ... You can never touch an animated character; you could never actually be friends with it in its world. But with puppets, they exist in our world, and you can interact with them and touch them and feel like they're your friends, and I think that, viscerally, there's a different reaction to that. Sorry, I'm a total puppet geek. I could talk about this for hours. There was a little girl who came to set, and she got to meet Kermit. The puppeteers are always so gracious about meeting children when they come to set, and then the family was sitting behind the monitors and Kermit was doing a scene, and she said, out loud, in the middle of the scene, "I'm friends with him!" It just confirmed exactly what I believe that there's been something missing in that the Muppets haven't been at the forefront like what we had when we were kids.
MTV : So these are the Muppets we've known and loved, not a modern, raunchy version?
Segel: Never raunchy. The Muppets have always been subversive. They're all over the first season of "Saturday Night Live," and the first Jim Henson special was called ["The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence"]; it was very adult. The Muppets were always geared toward adult audiences, but they still managed to do that without ever being mean. It's so easy to get laughs making fun of people, and the Muppets never did that. They took maybe the harder route of being actually funny.
MTV : Who in your opinion is the funniest Muppet?
Segel: They're all so different and they all represent different facets of humor. But I love a good pun, and Fozzie Bear is just the pun master. There's a comic philosophy on puns that it's the lowest form of humor, and it's also supposed to be incredibly antisocial, because it stops the conversation; there's no response to a pun. But I'll tell you, there's something so endearing about Fozzie Bear just punning his little heart out. He's also, he's totally undaunted by the lack of response from his audience. He just keeps on going. Fozzie has a totally unfounded confidence, which is a quality that I think is just awesome.
MTV : Which Muppet did you get to know that surprised you most?

Segel: Well, Rowlf is really pleasant to be around. He's incredibly, incredibly calm, which we make fun of a lot during the movie. Rowlf, of all the Muppets, Rowlf just loves a nice nap.
MTV : What will grab people most? What is your goal with the film? Do you want to make sequels?
Segel: I try not to think beyond this one at this point, because I'm superstitious, but I will say that for lovers of "The Muppet Show," not just the movies but the actual show, the final act of the movie is as close to a re-creation of "The Muppet Show" as was possible. That was a thrill, because at the end of the movie, the Muppets put on a telethon based very much on an episode of "The Muppet Show," so we recorded [a version of] the original theme song for the first time since 1979. We made an almost exact replica of the original Muppet Theater as well. Walking into that was unbelievable, and not just for me; I must say I saw it on the faces of some of the puppeteers as well. Some of the ones who had worked on the original "Muppet Show" walked in and were like, 'Wow, this is what we did for a few years." It was pretty cool.

Eddie Murphy To Host 2012 Oscars

Academy Awards executive producer Brett Ratner directed Murphy in the upcoming 'Tower Heist.'By Kara Warner

After trying out a pair of young Hollywood stars for last year's Oscars, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has settled on a seasoned vet to helm the 84th annual Academy Awards: Eddie Murphy.
"I am enormously honored to join the great list of past Academy Award hosts from Hope and Carson to Crystal, Martin and Goldberg, among others," Murphy said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to working with [producers] Brett [Ratner] and Don [Mischer] on creating a show that is enjoyable for both the fans at home and for the audience at the Kodak Theatre as we all come together to celebrate and recognize the great film contributions and collaborations from the past year."
Ratner is equally excited to re-team with Murphy, whom he directed in the upcoming "Tower Heist." "Eddie is a comedic genius, one of the greatest and most influential live performers ever," Ratner said. "With his love of movies, history of crafting unforgettable characters and his iconic performances — especially on stage — I know he will bring excitement, spontaneity and tremendous heart to the show Don and I want to produce in February."
In other Oscar-related news, rumor has it that veteran host Billy Crystal will also be incorporated into the show. We still haven't heard much from new Oscars producer Ratner, however, other than his initial statement that the gig is "a dream come true."
"This wasn't even in my dreams, it's so far out," he said last month. "This is something I never could have imagined."
The filmmaker, who directed Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in the "Rush Hour" comedy trilogy as well as 2006's comic book adaptation "X-Men: The Last Stand," isn't wasting any time in getting started on his plans for the show, which will air live from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on February 26, 2012. "Work begins now," he said.

Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File

'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.By Chris Harris

On October 14, Dimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said.
"It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically."
Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with
Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP.
"It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be."
Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring.
"I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation."
While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings.
"And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula."
Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake.
"We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that."
The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco.
The rest of the week's metal news:
Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. According to the band's blog, "Art has already added a new spark to the band and has provided us with a solid backbone that will allow us to continue our rampage stronger than ever." ...
What the world really needs is another
Led Zeppelin box set, so, on November 4, Rhino Records will issue the Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection Mini LP Replica CD box set. For just $200, you'll get 1969's Led Zeppelin, 1969's Led Zeppelin II, 1970's Led Zeppelin III, 1971's Led Zeppelin IV, 1973's Houses of the Holy, 1975's Physical Graffiti, 1976's Presence, 1976's The Song Remains the Same, 1979's In Through the Out Door and 1982's Coda, as mini-LP replicas, with artwork from the original U.K. LP sleeves. Now, you know what you can get your dad for Christmas. ...
Former Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach and current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz have teamed up for a new project they're calling Times of Grace, and they've already started working on material for their debut album. According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. This album went from a melodic metal album to an epic mix of metal/rock/pop/shoegaze and punk. So all of your metal expectations will be incorrect — we are pushing genre boundaries." To quote "Meet the Parents," we'll look forward to that, Greg. ...
The Funeral Pyre and Early Graves will be hitting the road together next month, starting November 7 in South Lake Tahoe, California. Dates are booked through November 21 in Hollywood. ...
The latest incarnation of Brujeria, which features Carcass frontman Jeff Walker and Napalm Death's Shane Embury, have lined up several U.S. dates for this winter. The band will begin its brief trek November 28 in Denver, and wrap things up in Dallas on December 7. ...
Demiricous will be touring with the Gates of Slumber starting November 9 in Denver, for a jaunt that's scheduled to run through December 6 in Indianapolis. ...
Nearly three years after Roadrunner Records' Roadrunner United concert, which took over the Nokia Theater in New York's Times Square, the label is now releasing footage from that special night as "Roadrunner United: The Concert." The DVD, which hits stores December 9, will boast two discs and 24 live tracks, including Life of Agony's "River Runs Red," King Diamond's "Abigail," Killswitch's "My Last Serenade," Type O Negative's "Black No. 1" and Sepultura's "Refuse/Resist." ...
According to Blabbermouth, Verrot, bassist for Swedish black-metal outfit Elimi, committed suicide on October 3. In a statement, the band said, "Verrot was a very good friend, brother, an excellent bass player/musician and an important part of Elimi; we respect his decision and hope he'll find his way with the dark gods of Chaos. Let your black flame be a part of what brings forth the day of wrath."

Ke$ha knows all about the perks of being a headliner. On her Get $leazy Tour, the singer gets to call all the shots, blast her fans in the face with tons of glitter and handpick which dudes she wants to party and share the stage with.

But it's not all backstage shenanigans and groupie love. When MTV News sat down with the "Blow" singer in New York earlier this week before her gig at Roseland Ballroom, Ke$ha said that amid the nightly onstage parties there have also been some poignant moments on her first headlining outing.
"Best moment? There are so many. Every night's amazing. I have kids outside right now chanting my name and it's awesome," she said of the first leg of the tour. "There was one night a fan came onstage, I invited him onstage, and he had a tattoo of the dollar sign. I was like, 'Oh, that's awesome! Badass. You're part of the cult, man.' "
And then, she said...

'Dancing With The Stars' Season 13 Lineup Revealed!

Kristin Cavallari, Rob Kardashian, David Arquette top the latest cast.By Kara Warner and Katie Byrne

Incredibly enough, the 13th season of everyone's favorite celebrity dance competition, "Dancing With the Stars," is just around the corner. The season premiere is a few weeks away, and the only thing more exciting than watching the new crop of celebs strut their stuff for the first time is finding out exactly what brave stars have been assembled to compete.
The wait is over as ABC announced their bright, shiny new cast Monday night (August 29) during "Bachelor Pad." Here's a look at the eclectic new contestants readying their dancing shoes for season 13 of "Dancing With the Stars":
Nancy Grace
The former prosecutor has made a name for herself as the host of her own talk show on HLN. Grace covers the world of current affairs, in a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners approach that often draws criticism for her snap judgment and pointed opinions.
Ricki Lake
Longtime fans will always remember Lake from her big-screen debut as Tracy Turnblad in the 1988 movie "Hairspray." Later in life, Lake made a name for herself with her daytime talk show, which ended its 11-year run in 2004 but is reportedly returning to TV in fall 2012.
Chynna Phillips
Phillips has long been in the public eye and is perhaps best known as being part of popular '90s trio Wilson Phillips. The daughter of the Mamas & the Papas' bandmembers John and Michelle Phillips has dabbled in singing and acting over the years and has been married to Billy Baldwin (brother to Alec and Stephen) since 1995.
Hope Solo
Solo joins the ranks of many professional athletes-turned-dancers on "DWTS." The professional soccer star helped the U.S. Women's team bring home the gold medal at the '08 summer Olympics and is currently a goalkeeper for the MagicJack soccer club.
Kristin Cavallari
The MTV star stirred up trouble first on "Laguna Beach" and then took over for Lauren Conrad on the final season of "The Hills." The newly single Cavallari will surely take full advantage of the show's skimpy costumes and no doubt gain the attention of a new beau.
Elisabetta Canalis
Canalis is best known for her highly publicized two-year romance with one of America's favorite "Sexiest Men Alive," George Clooney. Since their split last summer, the Italian beauty has appeared in film and TV shows and hosted the Italian version of "Total Request Live," as well as the singing contest Sanremo Music Festival.
Rob Kardashian
"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" might shine the brightest spotlight on the Kardashian sisters, but little brother Rob is often there as the voice of reason amid the family drama. The reality star could have a leg up on the competition, getting tips from sister Kim, who competed on season seven, or maybe Sabrina Bryan, the Cheetah Girls bandmate of Rob's ex Adrienne Bailon, who competed on season five. Or maybe he should just keep it in the family.
Chaz Bono
Bono is the only child of superstars Cher and the late Sonny Bono. Despite living in the shadow of famous parents, Chaz, who was born Chastity, is a writer, actor and musician, and is well-known in the LGBT community for being a transgender advocate.
David Arquette
While Arquette is known for memorable roles in film and television, particularly as dopey policeman Dewey Cox in the "Scream" franchise, the actor/director/writer/occasional professional wrestler made headlines last year when he and Courteney Cox, his wife of nearly 11 years, announced their separation. Three months later, after giving Howard Stern a particularly revealing interview about the state of his marriage, Arquette checked himself into rehab for issues with alcohol. He is in recovery and has reportedly been sober since.
Ron Artest
Or should we say Metta World Peace? The outspoken Lakers player and rapper, who is currently trying to change his name to that Ochocinco-esque alias, made headlines years ago for an on-court brawl but is now known as a quirkily lovable personality. We'll see what antics he has up his sleeve on the dance floor.
J.R. Martinez
This surefire fan favorite is an actor, motivational speaker and retired soldier who suffered burns over 40 percent of his body when his Humvee hit a landmine in Iraq. Martinez turned the harrowing experience into an inspirational tale for other burn victims and now has a role on ABC's "All My Children."
Carson Kressley
This fashion guru got his celebrity start as one of the "Fab Five" on Bravo's "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." Kressley has an eye for how to make people look good and frequently appears on TV talk shows to offer his expert opinions on fashion. Kressley currently hosts his own show "Carson Nation" on Oprah Winfrey's OWN.
"Dancing With The Stars" premieres Monday, September 19, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
What do you think of the new cast? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Katy Perry Stands By Her Man

I told you yesterday about Russell Brand being arrested after allegedly getting into an altercation with a paparazzo. Here are the pictures of Russell and Katy Perry arriving at the airport before the scuffle broke out.
And here's what Katy had to say on twitter about the incident:
If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fianc will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don'tf**kwiththeBrands.
If it's true that the paparazzo was trying to get a picture under Katy's skirt, then the paparazzo is the one who should've been arrested! Talk about crossing the line. And I've heard of paparazzi trying to do that, so it doesn't sound so improbable to me.
Hopefully this will be resolved without too much fuss.

Beyonce To Hit The VMA Stage

Tune in for B's first VMA performance in two years, this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT.By Aly Semigran

Beyoncé

Photo: Tabatha Fireman/Redferns

Beyoncé, who instructed girls to run the world with her VMA-nominated smash song, will now run the stage at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

The "Run the World (Girls)" singer, who has three nominations this year (including Best Female Video, Best Choreography and Best Cinematography) and is the previous recipient of nine Moonmen, including 2009's Video of the Year award for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)," will join the lineup of 2011 VMA performers, which already includes Lady Gaga, Adele, Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Young the Giant, Pitbull and Ne-Yo. Jessie J will serve as a house artist for the ceremony.
"We are thrilled to have Beyoncé return to her rightful musical home at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards," said Amy Doyle, executive producer of the 2011 MTV VMAs and MTV's EVP of Music & Talent, in a statement. "Her performances at the VMAs are legendary — leaving everyone breathless and talking for days. We can't wait to see her set the stage on fire once again!"
While it's been two years since the pop diva extraordinaire last hit the stage as a VMA performer (when she, along with a bevy of backup dancers, brought down the house with a "Single Ladies" number), Beyoncé recently played a series of intimate shows at New York's Roseland Ballroom, performing songs off of her latest album, 4, as well as classic hits, including favorites from the Destiny's Child era, to sold-out crowds.
The VMAs will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday at 9 p.m. (live ET/ tape-delayed PT). Presenters includes Selena Gomez (who will pull double duty as VMA pre-show host), Taylor Lautner, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Zoe Saldana, Seth Rogen, Drake, Joe Jonas, Jared Leto, Jonah Hill, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Victoria Justice, Rick Ross, Odd Future and JB Smoove.
Though voting is closed for Beyoncé's categories, fans can still vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com online or m.mtv.com on their mobile phones. In addition, Best New Artist text voting is open to all wireless carrier subscribers by texting BNA to 66333. Voting continues all the way through the show, until the winner is announced live on Sunday.
The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Nude Statue Gets New Home

Rep for artist Daniel Edwards says life-size piece will be on display at Dallas-area porn shop.By Jocelyn Vena

Daniel Edwards' "Justin and Selena as One" sculpture

Photo: Daniel Edwards/ Cory Allen Contemporary Art

Daniel Edwards' headline-making nude statue of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez has found a new home. The life-size statue of the two teen stars will make its way to a Dallas-area porn shop in the very near future, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The shop, New Fine Arts, confirmed to the site that the statue will be on display there. Cory Allen, a rep for Edwards, also told The Reporter that the artist is planning a companion piece inspired by a 1968 cast made of Jimi Hendrix's private parts. The second statue will display Bieber's in the same way, using what he described as a "Warner Bros. cartoon" vibe.
So, why has Edwards decided to focus his attention on the sexualization of Bieber, 17, and Gomez, 19? The artist explained why to MTV News this week.
"I tried to find my entry into making a comment on that very thing that happens time and again to teenage celebrities, where they're kind of exploited early, earlier than what is legal, and the media fuels that as best they can," he said. "I guess I'm making my commentary about that particular thing that happens."
The statue also comments on the "double standard" for males and females in the industry. "It only seems to hit the young ladies a lot worse than the men. It's still there. You see all those beach photos of the two of them. My children are young, but I think I would be freaked out if I saw images of them like that on the Internet."
What do you think of the artist's statue? Let us know in the comments below.

All of the categories for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards are competitive, but none more so than the eclectic group vying for Sunday night's biggest prize: Video of the Year.

The 2011 nominees for Video of the Year are: Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," Beastie Boys' "Make Some Noise," Bruno Mars' "Grenade," Katy Perry's "Firework" and Tyler the Creator's "Yonkers." MTV News recently asked some celebrities for their predictions on who will take home the night's most-important Moonman.
"I'm a huge Bruno Mars fan, so maybe I'd give the slight edge there," "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner said diplomatically.
"I'm going to go with Bruno Mars," said Christopher Mintz-Plasse. "That song is really insanely catchy."
And "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton also revealed, "I'm a bit of a Bruno fan."
"I like Katy Perry," Kim Kardashian told us, as her sister Kourtney nodded in agreement.
"Switched at Birth" star Sean Berdy cast his vote via sign language and the help of a translator: "It goes to Katy Perry for 'Firework.' I love her music."
Admitted longtime fan Affion Crockett said, "I gotta be loyal: I'm going to stick with the Beastie Boys." And OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder told us, "I would vote for Beastie Boys."
Allstar Weekend put their vote in for Tyler the Creator's trippy "Yonkers" clip, as did another all-boy band, Honor Society. "We're going for Tyler," Society frontman Michael Bruno revealed.
"Cockroaches, vomiting, the whole thing, it's all there."
"I gotta go with Adele," said "Voice" winner Javier Colon, and "Teen Wolf" star Crystal Reed gushed, "I love Adele. I secretly wish I was her."
So, based on our informal celeb poll (we counted band members as one), Bruno Mars would take home the Video of the Year trophy, having earned three votes. All the other nominees received two.
The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live Sunday from Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Selena Gomez-hosted pre-show at 8. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for Best New Artist by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Chris Cornell Filling In For Robert Plant On Led Zeppelin Tour? That's News To Him

'I have not been approached to fill in for Robert Plant on the Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be,' singer says.By Chris Harris

Former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has spoken out for the first time about rumors that he's been asked to fill in for Robert Plant on a proposed Led Zeppelin reunion tour. The trek would feature original guitarist Jimmy Page, original bassist John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham taking over on drums for his late father, John Bonham.
Cornell has been mentioned — along with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, White Stripes mastermind Jack White and Alter Bridge's Myles Kennedy — as a potential Plant fill-in. Plant has already said that he wouldn't take part in the tour.

"I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn't to say I won't be," Cornell told MTV News. "I've heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it's just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/ Alison Krauss tour."
Cornell's denial comes just a day after Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford confirmed reports that frontman Steven Tyler recently met with Zeppelin for an impromptu jam session. "They did it for fun," Whitford said during an appearance on the syndicated show "Todd N Tyler Radio Empire." "I actually think Jimmy wanted Steven to come over and play a little bit because I think he was trying to light a fire under Robert."
Rumors of a Zeppelin reunion tour have abounded since the iconic band played a single reunion set last year at London's O2 Arena. Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider added fuel to the fire last month when he revealed that the group was thinking of touring, with or without Plant.
According to Snider, the rest of the band told Plant, " 'We're all rehearsed, we're ready to go. Here's a gazillion dollars on the table. If you don't do it, we're going out with this kid [Myles Kennedy].' "
"And he can sing the sh-- out of Zeppelin," Snider added. "They're going to hope that Robert, at the last minute, will go, 'OK,' and step in."
In a recent interview, Jones told BBC Radio Devon that a new singer was being sought to take over for Plant. "We are trying out a couple of singers," he said. "We want to do it. It's sounding great, and we want to get on and get out there."
But Jones insists that he, Page and Bonham aren't interested in finding a Plant clone. "It's got to be right," he said. "There's no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be onboard."
Of course, even if Zeppelin were to approach him, Cornell might be too busy to take over vocals for the band. His upcoming Timbaland-produced solo LP, Scream, will be released within the next few months. Cornell told MTV News last month that some of his fans might consider Scream something of a departure, but he doesn't see it that way.
"It makes me happy that there's this perception that I have a group of fans that I'm now sort of throwing a curve at and what their reaction will be," he said. "But I've been in this situation so many times already. When I put out [1999's] Euphoria Morning, my main goal was to create an album that sounded like nothing I'd done in Soundgarden, and I did that. I also had that with Temple of the Dog, where I showed up with songs that weren't necessarily riff-based. And then, of course, the pairing of me and members of Rage Against the Machine had everyone sort of speculating about what that would sound like.
"It feels like I've done this so many times that when it's presented to me as being a departure, I feel that's a misconception," he added. "I feel like that's my theme at this point."

Usher To Donate Gadhafi Money To Charity

'I will be donating all of my personal proceeds...to various human rights organizations,' singer says of concert linked to Libyan dictator.By Shawn Adler

R&B superstar Usher announced Friday (March 4) that he was donating to various charities proceeds from appearing at a private event at St. Barts linked to Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, according to a statement made to the Associated Press.
The Grammy award winner's renouncement comes after similar announcements from singers Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado, and Beyoncé, all of whom were revealed to have performed at private concerts linked to the Middle Eastern leader, who has faced open revolt and major political uprisings since February.
"I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart's event that took place on New Year's Eve 2009," Usher said of the concert, at which he appeared alongside Beyoncé but did not perform. "I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations."
Usher has already begun the process, having made a donation to Amnesty International, the AP reports. The exact size of the donation is not known.
The New Year's Eve gig was reportedly for Moammar's fourth son Muastassim, who an unnamed music industry source told MTV News has a history of throwing lavish parties "jammed" with supermodels.
Beyoncé, who sang at the event, donated all proceeds from her performance to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, established in the wake of the Haitian earthquake.
"All monies paid to Beyoncé for her performance at a private party at Nikki Beach St. Barts on New Year's Eve 2009, including the commissions paid to her booking agency, were donated to the earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago," the "Halo" singer's publicist said in a statement to The Huffington Post. "Once it became known that the third-party promoter was linked to the Qaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause."
Singer Nelly Furtado tweeted February 28 that she plans to make similar amends.
"In 2007, I received 1million$ from the Gadhafi clan to perform a 45 min. show for guests at a hotel in Italy," she tweeted. "I am going to donate the $."
The leader of Libya since a successful military coup in 1969, Gadhafi has reportedly lost control of much of his country as a result of widespread uprisings. The United Nations voted unanimously to refer the dictator to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.

Lil Wayne Drops Deep Messages In 'How To Love' Video

Tragic clip tugs at heartstrings with depictions of abuse, molestation and prostitution.By Rob Markman

Lil Wayne

Photo: Getty Images

If fans already thought that Lil Wayne put his emotions on display on "How to Love," off Tha Carter IV, wait until they get a load of the video, which premieres online on Wednesday (August 24). The Chris Robinson-directed clip is filled with drama and social commentary, telling the story of a beautiful young woman who stumbles into every imaginable pitfall.
The video opens in an abortion clinic, where a woman lies in a gown on the operating table. Suddenly she changes her mind and flies off the table and through the clinic's hall, choosing to keep her child. Shortly after that, the song's acoustic guitar licks drop in and we see a shirtless Wayne alone in a dimly lit hallway, singing, "You had a lot of crooks try to steal your heart, never really had luck, could never figure out how to love."
It is then that the distressed woman's story begins to unspool. We first see her being abused by her boyfriend, thrown to the ground in her bedroom while her infant, sitting in a car seat nearby, cries.
Fast-forward a few years later, and the mother is in a prison visiting room, talking to her incarcerated boyfriend through a glass panel while her daughter, now a toddler, sits in her lap.
"How to Love" producer Detail warned that the single's video would "shock" us.
A boyfriend in prison is just the tip of the iceberg. Things get disturbing as her daughter, who now appears to be a preteen, becomes a victim of child molestation. The scene starts just as Tunechi belts out, "When you were just a young'un, your looks were so precious." Cash Money and company clearly pulled no punches. We see the young girl sitting in pigtails as her mother's boyfriend approaches her while unfastening his belt and putting his fingers to his lips, an indication that she should keep quiet as she tries to fight him off. In the following sequences, the young girl, now all grown up (and played by video actress Chanta Patton), has become overly promiscuous.
The message is deep, and in the video Wayne plays second fiddle, not letting his performance shots get in the way of Robinson's story-telling. Together they illustrate a domino effect. Forget going from bad to worse: During the course of the five-minute clip things go from tragic to abysmal. The young woman's eventual career as a stripper begets prostitution, and it is her life as a prostitute that ultimately leads to devastating consequences. At approximately the three-minute mark the music cuts out and we see the principal character in a doctor's office similar to the one shown in the first scene, only this time she isn't able to run from the results. "Your blood results came back positive," the doctor tells her. When she asks, "Positive for what?," he replies, "HIV."
Maybe the message is dramatically overdone, but with the clip Wayne — who will be performing at the Video Music Awards and dropping his album at midnight afterwards — sparks discussion much like TLC did with their cautionary 1995 video for "Waterfalls."
There is hope, however; in a rewind sequence the victim's life is redone. In an alternate reality, the domestic violence her mother originally faced is erased. Instead, she marries in a church ceremony, and with no abuse or prison visits to speak of, her daughter's life is now set right. Consequently, Patton's character endures no molestation, nor does she resort to stripping or prostitution. Instead she graduates from high school and enrolls in beauty school. Eventually, she winds up in the same doctor's office seen earlier in the clip — only this time the news is good: The beauty school grad finds out she's pregnant and reacts with a joyous sigh, before turning to her mother to say, "Thank you, just thank you for being there for me and teaching me how to love."
It wasn't just the guitar strings that Weezy plucked at with this single; he was clearly tugging at the heartstrings as well.
